We liked having the coffee/tea in the room. The hotel location is good in a good neighborhood. The room was comfortable - clean with nice light and a decent size. A/C worked well. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. If you're looking for a quiet relaxed place I would recommend for Sunday-Thursday when they don't have music in the basement. If you're looking for a nice place with music in the basement then Fri-Sat would be for you.
There is a fridge in the room but it's filled with the minibar items ($) so not very useful. For a multi-night stay we could have used some fridge space.
Be aware that on Friday-Saturday nights they have music in the basement that brings a small crowd out front but they seemed friendly. We definitely heard the music in our room but weren't bothered since we were up at 2am anyway to leave for the airport. I see how this could be frustrating for people trying to sleep, especially light sleepers. Our room was down the hall from the stairs and facing the back of the building, so other rooms may be louder on weekends.

The room was very well-equipped and the personal were very friendly. The area around the hotel is developing fast and is really interesting. There is an old redeveloped industrial area "Zeche" just a couple of minutes walk with bars and restaurants, which i can really recommend if you don't want to go far to eat.
I think that breakfast only starts at 9:00 am - a bit strange. On my last day I had to leave at 8:00 am and had specifically asked in the bakery next door the day before I left if I could pick up croissants to take with me at 8:00 when they opened. When I went past they were not ready. Maybe organise this a bit better.

Beautiful property, thoughtful details throughout, delicious food, well located. Love the design of the hotel and its proximity to interesting cafes, restaurants and vintage stores.

The TV did not work properly because it was a projector that could not be aligned correctly. After I had laboriously set the device according to the specifications, only YouTube and Netflix were available, but no live TV. Unfortunately, the rooms are not sufficiently soundproofed; all noises and conversations from the outdoor area, the interior and the adjoining rooms are clearly audible.
