Disappointing

The property has a cute patio and balcony with a good view to the city and the sea. It's generally surprisingly spacious for a rental, however, not atypical for rural Spanish rentals. It's located less than 100 meters on a cute red brick paveway that leads to town's main historical church.

There is no functioning air conditioning, at all. As someone who grew up in Spain for most of my life, I was used to lack of A/C in my childhood however even opening the windows often was not enough to bring relief. If you try to run the electric stove and the microwave at the same time, much less run the washer, the power breaker trips and you lose all power to the unit. This is completely unacceptable. If you like pets like my daughter, a travel might find the fact that the host allows her dog to run through the apartment when she visits a little annoying. She also makes it clear that you only get one roll of toilet paper. I'm not sure why that needed to be pointed out, perhaps from another guest. That wasn't a dealbreaker but certainly adds to the overall feeling that you're "roughing it." Again, the lack of A/C especially on hot nights, which is most of the nights in the summer in Spain, made sleeping somewhat miserable and an overall disappointing experience.
