The Cabin at Braeside is mountain living at its finest.
Enjoy our two person log-sided cabin with a full kitchen and bath, comfortable seating and a porch where you can hear the Big Thompson River nearby. This cabin has no actual bedroom. Sleeping area is part of the Livingroom. The cabin was built in 1948 by American composer and pianist Arne Oldberg for his family. Enjoy the use of the wood fireplace and relax with a book in the wide window seat. And although the Cabin at Braeside is equipped with modern amenities like Wi-Fi and a TV, you might find yourself disconnecting and staring deeply into nature. A fully equipped kitchen with electric range and microwave. The home is fully stocked with bed linens, towels, extra blankets, soaps and shampoo. The kitchen has pots, pans and dishes plus silverware. A standard coffee maker, toaster, crock pot too.
The Cabin at Braeside is a perfect retreat for two. Canine companions are allowed with advance notice (a pet fee applies).
What to expect: This is a 1948 cabin; there is NO AC. But does have a full bath and roomy kitchen, No dishwasher.

Had all necessary items to make our stay seamless. Very convenient to be so close to RMNP as we had several early starts to beat the timed entry. Cabin gets stuffy during the peak heat of the day but rotating fan & open windows with a cross breeze alleviate that quickly. Front porch was one highlight for us. You can’t beat hearing a constant rush of water from the river below. The crockpot was the real MVP as we came back from a hike to a savory meal ready to be devoured.

Cabin was clean and cozy! A bit rustic but that’s what we were looking for and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
