Clean, stylish rooms that were reasonably priced for the area. Lovely staff.
Our room was small - really should have been a single, because there was very little room to move around the bed. Our friends had a room which was much bigger, but was cold, despite us asking for the heating to be put on - I think the heating was just not adequate for the size and fabric of the room.

There is no breakfast served there. It's a pub. Was room only. The room was great. Really well equipped.
Breakfast would have been nice.

The staff were welcoming and the room had recently been updated. The room was warm.
Unusually, there was a kitchen sink in the room with washing up liquid and a tea towel.
We appreciated the back entrance meaning we didn't have to traipse through the bar.
There were useful hooks on the bathroom door.and the bathroom mirror had a touch-controlled light.
The location was handy, on a bus route up the hill from the town, with frequent buses into Halifax.
The bed was awful. It looked nice but the mattress was much too soft and there weren't enough slats, making an uncomfortable night.
The narrowness of the room meant there was barely enough room to put my feet when getting out of the bed - about 25 cm.
There was no chair although it was possible to sit on the deep window ledge at a pinch.
The small hanging rail held a measly two coat hangers
The en suite was tiny and a larger person would have struggled to sit on the toilet between the heated towel rail and the wall.
