incorrect code for key safe but the call to owner was answered promptly and correct code provided. Nice touch to leave us some sweet treats and milk - much appreciated after the travel to Orkney.
An issue with hot water was promptly resolved and the owner left us a small gift to apologise :)
The bed was very comfortable.
the flat was very dark in the downstairs of the property even with the blinds open - better lighting would be helpful

The property was very clean and warm with comfortable beds and bedclothes and lovely thick towels. The owner left essentials such as milk and dishwasher tablets so that a trip to buy groceries can be delayed. The house is in a quiet location. It was an easy 15 minutes walk from the centre of Kirkwall. It was a great base for exploring Orkney.
We went as 2 couples so there were practical difficulties. The second bedroom was too small with nowhere to store clothes. We needed to keep our clothes in the suitcases and keep them open to slide under the beds otherwise there was no floor space to step on. Also the upstairs bathroom had a missing lock. I personally did not like the flooring in the upstairs bathroom as it was made of some kind of velvety laminate which I believe would be difficult to clean but I must say that I believe it was clean when we visited.

Angenehmes Haus, alles notwendige vorhanden. Praktisch am Rand von Kirkwall gelegen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen, z.B. Highland Park Distillery, Scapa-Beach, Steness Stones, Ring of Brodgar, Scara Brae uvm.
