This was my first time in a hostel— all I had heard were horror stories from friends who have travelled other places and I’m so glad that I could rave about this place for solo travel.

Me and my friends stayed here for the weekend and I think it's great place for the price!
It's situated within walking distance of most the main places within Toronto. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant; check in was very easy.
The atmosphere is calm throughout, when I was here everyone seemed to respect everyone's space and tried to be quiet as they could. I stayed in a L216 which is called a large pod, for a solo or couple it's great plenty of room. My friends stayed in a bunk room and again I think there was decent space.
It's very clean, when I arrived the cleaner was going around mopping the whole place and I seen them changing sheets once people were checked out, the shared kitchen area and bathrooms again both very clean. We hired towels for $10 each and they were also very clean.
The noise level is something you just have to take with a pinch of salt.... The top rooms do not have roofs and all the doors are just pull down blinds so you can hear what's going on but again while I was staying here no body was purposely making noise. The first night the person in the room next to me was snoring and it was loud but it can't be helped. If you want an undisturbed nights sleep I'd suggest ear buds and an eye mask.
Overall very happy with what we got for the price we paid (£118 GBP for 2 nights). Would definitely recommend and would 100% book again.
