The Albert is perfectly located in the centre of Bowness on Windermere. The staff were very friendly from Matthew who checked us in,the bar staff we spoke to and the member of staff who helped me with the bag. All very friendly which is why I expect that the place is so busy.
The food was excellent too
For 2 over 60s we had a lovely time
2 downsides the amount of stairs to the room which I hadn't realised when I booked. Ok for young people not so good for people with mobility issues and 2nd no car park on site but is 4 minutes down the road.

Always a comfortable stay at the Albert. Excellent location, friendly staff and good food. I visit the theatre next door but won't buy a ticket there until I am assured of a place at the Albert. I've stayed in a couple of other places in Bowness but nothing comes close for my needs.
My mobility isn't too good these days (I've been visiting since I was younger and fitter) and I find the fire doors and the stairs aren't as easy to negotiate now. I feel sure that the staff members would help though. I really miss the complimentary breakfasts I got years ago; they were wonderful.
