We have plenty of parking for you're trucks and trailers. Fiber-Optic Cable T.V.- WiFi- Internet Is lightning fast. 60 inch Sharp 4K HD Flat screen on swivel wall mount. 14 Foot "Smoker Craft" Aluminum fishing boat with Minn Kota electric trolling motor provided for guests unlimited use, gas grill with full tank ready to start the BBQ now. This amazing little lodge/cabin is the only structure on Kaunonen lake. Featuring 80 acres of complete privacy, located in the heart of the "Iron Range" Embarrass Minnesota, less than 15 miles to "Giants Ridge" or "Babbitt" less than 30 Minutes to "Ely" or "Lake Vermilion" 2-bedrooms and 2- bathrooms, modern interior, and of course the "VIEWS" open year round. Don't short change your experience on some tiny hotel or condo with no room to really relax. Have your own private lodge on your own private lake. If you can top that. "go for it" otherwise please come and enjoy the hospitality i always deliver to my renters.

The property was clean and features many amenities. There is one full bath (tub/shower combo) and a half bath. Roku TV setup with access to all the normal TV streaming apps, plus Live TV channels. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and any utensils you need. The gas grill outside worked well. Explored the lake a little with the included boat and caught a crappie and some other small fish (all released back). Thank you for the stay, Mitch!

If I could give this place more than five stars, I would. We booked this private lake lodge for my husband’s birthday, and it was exactly what we needed. The moment we arrived, everything slowed down. The stillness, privacy, and open sky are something you just don’t find anymore. This cabin is cozy rustic done right—warm, inviting, and thoughtfully put together in a way that makes you feel comfortable immediately. Every detail adds to the experience, from the peaceful lake views out every window to the quiet that surrounds you day and night. We brought his 18-year-old son, and he loved it just as much. Being on the water, unplugging, and having true peace and quiet gave all of us a chance to reset and actually be present together. The privacy is incredible—it truly feels like your own little world. The boat, dock, fire pit, and trees wrapping around the property create that hidden escape feeling that’s hard to describe. Mitch was an exceptional host—genuinely kind, responsive, and very accommodating. You can tell he takes pride in making sure guests feel welcome and taken care of. Everything was seamless from start to finish. I almost don’t want to leave this review because I’d love to keep this place to myself, but it’s too special not to share. We will absolutely be back.
