It was a quiet and secluded cottage A few magpies, a random duck and a scrub turkey for wildlife.
It was too far out of the town for walking to restaurants.. Cleaning could be better - A/C was cavitating on the first night because filters were blocked - I fixed that. Didn't see or hear from staff. Bed was hard and significantly hurt my back (but full disclosure I have had a recent back injury). They also wanted $20 a bag for firewood - is this normal? First time I have encountered this extra fee - not that we had a fire as it was too warm. Parking for the cottages was a challenge. Also, spa bath needs a rail to help the wife get out of the tub. Neighbours dogs are a nuisance.

We liked the bed, it was a great size and the comfort level was high. The tap water was great - tank and filtered, spot on. The location was also good, back off the main drag and nice and quiet. Overall it was good but driving in looking at the standard being presented the cottages definitely didn't meet that.
It was the small things for us that took the shine off. We couldn't use the smart tv to watch a movie via apps, the toiletry dispensers barely worked so it was difficult to get conditioner and body wash in particular. The table on the patio was severely rusted and I caught my shirt on it when getting up. The windows above the door, even though it was beautiful watching the stars, it was way too bright when the sun came up to sleep. The parking for cottages would also be challenging if all parks were taken.
