I've been staying at Hotel Tara Palace for 14 years whenever in Delhi. Good value for budget accommodations. 24-hour room service is a bonus.
Staff were all helpful, pleasant, and accommodating.
Even though there were room renovations in process, there was no problem with noise.
Thanks as always to the Hotel Tara Palace staff.
With the now pedestrianized section of Chandi Chowk from 9 to 9, Uber & taxi drivers were either having difficulty getting to the hotel or not picking up. Had I known this was an issue, I probably would have had hotel staff talk to drivers or walked to a different location for pick-ups.

the staff is friendly and helpful. Room Service is excellent and food is good. The hotel is very close to the Red Fort and other sightseeing spots.

Tara Palace is in a good location to see the true chaotic Delhi being right in the edge of the Chandi Chowk. But once inside the hotel it is very peaceful. The area felt safe despite being very busy. Close to the Red Fort which I could see from the bedroom window. The staff were very helpful with recommending places to go and restaurants. Food was available at the hotel but we didn't eat there (just didn't have time). Plenty of street food nearby.
The cleanliness could have been better. There was building work going on in other parts of the hotel which added to the dust. But there is a lot of dust generally in the Chandi Chowk.

The front desk was always helpful and is 24 hours which is nice as it’s down alley way. Also the air conditioned worked very well and was appreciated. The elevator was pretty quick always and I seemed to always have hot water in my shower. Also it was pretty quiet at night since it’s off the market.
The hotel is only half built and the halls are massively dirty because of all the construction. There also isn’t a dining room (even though there’s pics of It) or terrace seating just yet. You have to eat apparently in your room although since I was only there a short bit so unclear what in the menu is part of the free breakfast. The WiFi is also iffy but not sure if that because all the construction but no idea what the codes are they were put in individually into my phone phone for me.
