Welcome to Moon's Doc, where modern farmhouse meets modern beach house! The interior of this immaculate soundside reterat has undergone a complete renovation, transforming this cozy cottage into a bright and refreshing space for making memories. After a day at the beach, your family can come home and gather in the open-concept great room with vaulted ceilings and coastal-inspired LVP flooring. The chef in the group will appreciate the kitchen's stainless steel appliances and a generously sized island with bar seating that overlooks the dining area. Outside, the charming screened porch serves as an extension of the living area and leads out to a sun deck surrounded by mature trees for plenty of privacy.
Situated on a cul-de-sac in a quiet soundside neighborhood, Moon's Doc provides a secluded location while still being just minutes from shopping, dining and attractions. Two nearby beach accesses are less than ¾ of a mile from the house and both provide free parking. Guests can also take advantage of the town's multi-use path and crosswalk at Hollowell Street for riding bikes to the beach. Jockey's Ridge State Park is within biking distance as well, so be sure to set aside a day to visit this living dune system - the tallest on the East Coast! Climb to the top and fly a kite or simply take in the ocean-to-sound view of Nags Head.

Had a lovely stay at this property. House was clean. Great location in Nags Head.

The property was great, we only had one snag where the Amazon Fire Stick in the master bedroom and the living room were not working and prevented us from being able to watch anything on those TVs. We called to notify someone on our second day (A Thursday) after trying to troubleshoot it ourselves. The lady in the office was very nice and helpful. We were told someone would likely come by for it the next day as we had called late afternoon that day. I'm not sure how the request was handled from there but we got a text that Maintenance was starting our request on Friday and when we got back that night the TVs were still not working. We didnt bother reporting it again because we were going to be out of the house for most of our remaining trip anyway, however two days later when we made a stop at the house on Sunday, Maintenance was there working on the TVs. We weren't made aware anyone was going to be back at the property that day. The maintenance man was very kind but we told him not to even worry about it at this point since we were going to be checking out the next morning. Luckily this problem was a very minor one for us since we dont use the TVs much anyway, it was just a little frustrating to deal with. Overall the stay was awesome and we'll be keeping this property saved as an option for future trips.

Overall, we had a great stay. The house was spacious, well-equipped, and located in an excellent area. We appreciated the amenities provided and found the property to be very comfortable overall.There are a few maintenance and safety items that should be addressed before future guests arrive. First, the glass swinging entry door presents a potential safety concern, particularly for children and older adults. The door does not close smoothly and appears to be missing or lacking a properly adjusted hydraulic closer. As a result, it swings shut quickly and unexpectedly, which could potentially cause injury if someone does not clear the doorway in time.Additionally, the solar lights along the stairwells and in the parking area beneath the house were not functioning during our stay. The motion-sensor lights also did not appear to work. Adequate lighting is especially important for guests navigating the stairs after dark, particularly older individuals.The tree adjacent to the stairwell should also be trimmed back, as several branches extend into the walkway and brush against guests while using the stairs.The hot tub was out of service during our visit. If it is not expected to be operational for the foreseeable future, it may be helpful to remove it from the property listing or clearly communicate its status to guests to avoid disappointment and confusion.Finally, some attention should be given to the exterior of the property gutters full and dead cockroaches on screened porch
