Pamlico River Retreat is a newly renovated cottage that blends rustic charm with all the comforts of home. It sleeps four guests comfortably and can accommodate up to five.
The downstairs bedroom features a queen-size bed, and the living area includes a queen-size sleeper sofa. Upstairs, you’ll find a cozy full-size bed. The bathroom includes a shower as well as a washer and dryer for your convenience.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and small chest freezer.
Guests can also enjoy games, books, and TVs for entertainment. On cooler evenings, the wood-burning stove adds an especially warm and inviting touch.
The charm continues outdoors with a covered patio and gas grill, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a meal outside. Bringing a boat? The circular driveway makes it easy to enter, park, and exit with a trailer.
Located less than five minutes from downtown Washington and nearby boat ramps, Pamlico River Retreat is a convenient home base whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway, spending time on the water, or staying a little longer.

Pamlico Place was a nice place to stay. It’s amazing how many little touches Phyllis has done to the place, plus free drinks in the refrigerator and snacks on the counter really was a blessing. She thinks of everything like bug spray near the back door and toothpaste and other toiletries in the bathroom in case the traveler forgot something. That’s a thoughtful and thinking host. Thank you, Phyllis.
