Cozy beachside studio overlooking Lake Superior sits right on the beach. Simple and charming room with log beams, wood floors and big views. Queen size bed looks out at the sun and moon rises, vanity, private bath with shower and toilet. There's a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. No kitchen, but located right downtown Grand Marais, you can walk to all the restaurants for meals. Enjoy a beach fire in the evenings, or stream a movie on the free wi-fi. Basic accommodations, but you'll love the quaint charm and unparalleled location.

I had an incredible stay at the East Bay Hide-a-way! The location in Grand Marais simply cannot be beat. Being right on East Bay means you are steps away from the water, making it the perfect base for catching stunning Lake Superior sunrises or enjoying peaceful morning walks along the shoreline.The property itself was clean and cozy. It truly feels like a quiet, private haven, yet it’s incredibly convenient to downtown Grand Marais’ local shops, restaurants, and the harbor. The hosts were wonderful and communicative, ensuring a seamless check-in. If you are looking for a classic, peaceful North Shore escape, this is it. I will absolutely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Loved the private beach we took out our inflatable kayak out on the lake and we could literally walk to all of our activities in town! However there were a few cobwebs/spiderwebs dangling above the shower and when I was plugging in a lamp, there’s dust and dead flies on the heating baseboard nothing a little more attention to detail can’t fix! Another thing on why we can’t give this property five stars even though it is plastered everywhere on the wall of this unit in the little flip book and on this listing is the noise/loud talking from upstairs. We understand that maintenance has to be done on these units constantly however, we would have appreciated a courteous communication that we would’ve been hearing some of this maintenance noise during our stay. The constant grinding of a power tool was really disturbing. Luckily, we did leave for one of our activities when some of this maintenance was going on and when we came back, it was absolutely blissfully quiet. All in all if you can get past the possible maintenance noise and or talking and walking above you I would highly recommend! We will be staying here again soon

The most perfect spot to stay in Grand Marais. Seriously there is not a better spot. Easy walking to everything and the sights are stunning along the bay.

I would give this unit a 5 star rating if no one is in the upstairs room which we enjoyed one night. The other night we may as well have been sharing the room with the upstairs guest. It is a fun space but if you are noise sensitive I can't recommend.
