The Hale is adorned with hand carved art from local artists, an outdoor bath set in the midst of a tropical garden of ferns, palms & orchids, and a lanai/dining room overlooking lava features & new landscaping. Modern amenities of AC, Internet and Roku will make your vacation more enjoyable. And close proximity to Volcano NP and the ocean.

We loved our stay at Hale Hapu'u! Serene, well appointed, and as cool as the photos make it seem. Whether enjoying morning coffee on the lanai or an evening bath to the sounds of tree frogs, every moment and detail makes a stay here well worth it. Scott was incredibly communicative and responsive when we had any needs/requests. As a frequent visitor to the Islands this'll definitely be a return spot when we come back to Hilo.

Outstanding experience. A romantic and beautiful place to stay. Very quiet except for birds during the day, and frogs at night (an awesome experience) ! Extremely clean at a great price. Communication with host very clear and quick responses. We loved this place. Close to truly beautiful areas. Definitely earns the highest rating on any scale.
