Be our guest in a beautiful piece of American history! Built in 1790, this log home exemplifies a page from our history books with original wood floors, walls and beams. Located just 5 minutes walk from downtown, Lincoln Square, the home was once owned by Thaddeus Stevens and sits with a front seat view of where the Confederates occupied West Middle Street during the Battle of Gettysburg. The home, while keeping it's historic character, also contains modern conveniences (central air conditioning, recessed lighting, fully updated kitchen and baths, etc.). The Thaddeus Steven's house has 3 cozy bedrooms (upstairs, 2queen, 1full) and 1 & 1/2 bathrooms. Perfect for a couple, family or group of friends! Join us in this gorgeous historical home as you explore Gettysburg! **Please keep in mind the home was built in a time, when people were smaller. Ceilings and doorways are low. The floors slant and creak. The closet space is limited. And the home may not be functional for people with certain physical mobility issues. Appreciate where you are--transported to a special time--imagine yourself in another era! Enjoy Gettysburg!

Historic log home with modern updates. Great location to walk downtown Gettysburg and close to main streets to drive to historic locations. Clean, cozy, and well stocked with kitchen utensils.Highly recommended!

Had an amazing time in Gettysburg. Have been wanting to visit for sometime. The entire trip was so memorable and the Thaddeus Steven's house was a great way to complete the trip. So historic, cozy, and comfortable. The house was fully stocked with whatever we needed. There is a grocery store right across the street. All the museums, monuments, etc. are close by. Occasionally you can hear tourists outside excitedly taking pictures of the home. I was one of them. Sarah made check in extremely easy and answered all of our questions. Thank you for making Gettysburg even more memorable. I would definitely stay here again.

Thaddeus Stevens Log Home was wonderful - you truly felt you are part of history with modern conveniences :) Sarah was lovely and communication was outstanding. Our group loved the experience. Thank you!

Great location! Friendly hosts. Shower ran out of hot water and was like a pressure washer.
