About this cottage rental
This quaint, rustic cottage is located in the community of Cedar, just south of Nanaimo, on an accessible, yet secluded acreage.
It is walking distance to the beach and boat launch and amazing trails, yet less than 15 minutes from downtown Nanaimo, as well as both ferry terminals and the airport.
The quiet yard is surrounded by beautiful old maple, walnut, and fruit trees and overlooks the horse pasture and pond. It is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful morning cup of coffee or an evening sunset.
An attached games room includes ping-pong, air hockey and foosball tables, as well as a dart board, for all to enjoy and entertain a family. Kids big and small, young or old will love it.
The cottage boasts a cozy master bedroom on the main floor, situated off the main living area, and next to the bathroom. Upstairs is split in the middle with two additional attic-style bedrooms.
A double futon is available in the living room, as well as a single sized roll out cot, both with supplied linens for additional guests. Also provided is a Graco pack and play, playpen for your little one.
This 100+ year old original farmhouse has been freshly renovated, keeping its original rustic charm. We love it and think you will too!
$50 cleaning fee for first couple ($25/guest thereafter)

The cabin is in a kid friendly setting. We were great full for the random condiments that we had forgotten to pack. Has a nice view into the horse pasture and games room for kids and adults alike.Upper two rooms are accessed via a steep staircase and is not ideal for toddlers or seniors.

Great place for family gathering... fun for kids and adults, lots of games to play and space to get away from each other for a quiet moment... fantastic bbq grill, great for cooking a pancake breakfast and dinners... high end coffee machine with pods supplied... all the amenities you need.... nice massive lantern style outdoor fire for your marshmallow moment..... fun saying hello to Rosie the dog and Ronnie the horse... short drive to the Cedar swim hole on the river which was awesome but a little difficult to get down too but well worth it!.... the soda pop machine was a nice touch but sometimes ate our coins and didn't deliver.... overall a great rental.... Thankyou to our hosts who totally respect your privacy.... Great place to stay!

We were very impressed with the thoughtful and thorough accomadations provided at this property. There were an abundance of towels, dishes, kitchem essentials, movies, board games and puzzles, and more. Every detail was thought about it seemed, for anything a guest might need. The stairs leading up to the twin beds were quite steep for my 4 year old but we managed with adult supervision, and all the fun acivities downstairs made it easy to keep him entertained. The game room was my 7 year olds favorite spot. I appreciated salt, ice, foil, and all the other kitchen essentials I could find easily. Best of all however, was how exceptionally clean it was, and I am a stickler about that! 5 stars, would highly recommend.
