North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Skyline silhouettes and the unmistakable curve of the Superdome frame the view from your private balcony, a detail that never gets old whether you're sipping your morning coffee or winding down after a night on Frenchmen Street. With space for up to ten guests, a fully fenced backyard, and a location steps from the Canal Streetcar, this is a home built for groups who want New Orleans done right.
Living space
The living area is set up for easy togetherness, with comfortable seating and a 32-inch HDTV loaded with Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix, and Roku. Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace (in a room with a door) mean those who need to stay connected can do so without disrupting everyone else. Board games and life-size games round out the entertainment options, and the pack 'n play and high chair are available upon request for families traveling with little ones.
Sleeping arrangements
Five bedrooms sleep up to ten guests, each made up with fresh bed linens and essentials. Room-darkening shades, walk-in closet, clothing storage, and a safe keep things comfortable and organised. Three and a half bathrooms - including a bathtub - are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer, and cleaning products.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is the kind you actually want to cook in. A Frigidaire stainless steel gas stove and oven anchor the space, alongside a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, and toaster. Cooking basics, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, and a baking sheet are all on hand. Pull up a chair at the dining table for a full group meal, or take your coffee out to the balcony and let the city do the talking.
Outdoor living
The fully fenced private backyard with covered patio and outdoor furniture gives the group a place to decompress between outings - fresh air, shade, and enough room to spread out. A private entrance and free off-street parking (plus free street parking) make arrivals and departures easy for everyone.
Laundry & essentials
An in-unit washer and dryer handle the practicalities, with iron, hangers, and cleaning products also provided. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep the home comfortable year-round. Home safety features include exterior security cameras, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit.
Location
The Endymion parade route is right outside the door, making this one of the best-positioned homes in the city for Mardi Gras. The Canal Streetcar stop is a short walk away - ten minutes to the French Quarter - and Trader Joe's and the Lafitte Greenway bike trail are close at hand. The Superdome, Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, and major hospitals are all within easy reach.

This house was perfect for our group of 10! Exactly as pictured, very comfortable, and great outdoor space as well. The driveway is very narrow, but we were able to park 4 cars, carefully, as we arrived, and left the biggest vehicle on the street in front of the house, and just used that vehicle to get around. Management was great to work with us after checking out in retrieving an item left behind. Great experience!

The property was just like it was listed. We really enjoyed the stay. I was skeptical about the neighborhood before getting there but everything was good. Neighborhood was quiet.Would rent again.

Fabulous house, not in prime location, had no problems with house. Parking another story could not fit either vehicle down the driveway, too narrow. Had to park on the street. We had an excellent time on our trip, Uber very convenient

This is a beautiful, well furnished home with lots of character! We were only there for one night before our cruise but we'd love to come back sometime!
