First of all this is a townhome surrounded by other townhomes that are is not facing the woods. Yes, you can walk down to the main road and cross over to go hiking at starved park. They are not part of the resort so no amenities like the water park, and gym are included in it. The place was ok cleaned, the 1st floor shower had hair from previous people who stayed, coffee maker had a filter with coffee in it that had mold growing in it. Besides that the place is located near many hiking areas, there are baby gates at the stairs, children books and a children’s puzzle. There’s a playground close by, bar next ti playground and a mini-golf area too.

The mattresses were not comfortable and could be upgraded. Enjoyed the variety of games and open area downstairs for family gathering.

We stayed for one night for a wedding at starved rock. It was so convenient and had plenty of room for 6 adults.

Amenities- the air mattresses need to be replaced as they deflate in the middle of the night.The hot water ran out super fast which cause us to not enjoy the hot tub. Other than that we had a really good time, the host was super nice. We will consider renting from her again.
