Nestled on 3 acres with unobstructed views, our property is ideally situated just 5 miles from the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, 20 miles from Taos Ski Valley, and centrally located for easy access to all outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, biking, hot air balloon rides, and fly fishing—all just a short drive away. Additionally, it's a 15-minute drive to downtown Taos historic district, offering convenient access to local shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
Newly constructed (2022) rammed earth passive solar home in El Prado, where comfort meets sustainable living. Designed to harness solar mass and sunlight, our home stays warm even during cold winter months. Guests can naturally adjust temperatures by ventilating through doors and windows, with additional cooling provided by fans if needed. During winter, leaving bedroom curtains open allows the sun to charge the home, complemented by a propane fireplace for extra chilly nights. Water for the house is sourced from a well, ensuring refreshment straight from the source.
The home offers an open concept living area adorned with luxurious furnishings. Indoors, guests can enjoy meals at the stylish kitchen bar, or opt for the inviting cafe table outdoors, ideal for up to four guests. Radiant floors and sun-soaked southern facing windows guarantee a cozy atmosphere flooded with natural light.
The king bedroom suite exudes luxury with a spa-like atmosphere, featuring a clawfoot soaking tub, walk-in shower, double vanity, and ample storage. Included is a separate dressing area.
For a serene escape, our queen bedroom boasts rammed earth walls and picturesque views of sage-covered hills. Complete with a spacious closet, plush queen bed, and thoughtful amenities, it promises a tranquil stay.

Such a beautiful home with amazing views.The house was perfect for my family of 4. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had all the gadgets and utensils for cooking and the decor was SO beautiful!! Just a short drive to town for shopping and restaurants, as well as being close to the ski valley. The location was perfect Our host was great! He responded to all messages quickly. Our experience could not have been better! Thank you for you sharing your beautiful home with us!! We made such wonderful memories!!

Beautiful location that is near all that Taos to offer, but also allowed us to escape to a peaceful retreat. Great view of the mountains and stars at night! We will be back.
