And… If you’d like to really spread out OR have additional guests, please consider adding the neighboring two-bedroom “Island House” villa (with its own private pool) to your reservation. It’s located immediately adjacent to Rock Hill and has is connected by a private pathway. Rock Hill is the ideal base from which to explore the “untouched wonders of Long Island”. Rock Hill is surrounded by the resort amenities of Stella Maris which includes bars, private beaches, pools and restaurants. Everything is within easy walking distance! Stella Maris offers daily excursions and activities such as sea kayaking, snorkeling, beach combing, scuba diving, bone-fishing, reef fishing, eco-tours, deep sea fishing, etc...
But wait, there’s more... swim in sea caves, explore shipwrecks, bar hop, explore architectural ruins, swim with pigs, walk sandy beaches, visit rock pools, drift thru tidal lagoons, island cuisine, rum punch parties, lobstering, conching and historical sites!

MAKERS AIR flies direct from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport to Stella Maris on certain days. You can purchase individual seats or charter the entire plane. —www.makersair.com—
A private charter in a 9-passsenger typically costs $10k - $14k. This price includes both the outgoing and return trips. If you have a large group this can be an economical and convenient way to travel. Skip the major airports and long lines of customs/immigration!
COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS TO STELLA MARIS VIA NASSAU (NAS):
This is the most common route taken to Long Island. Nassau International Airport is the major air hub for the Bahamas with many direct flights from the USA, Canada & London. Major carriers include Jet Blue, American Airlines, Delta, United, Air Canada, British Airways, West Jet and Bahamasair. Upon arrival in Nassau, you will need to clear customs/immigration and then take a short flight to Long Island. Stella Maris Resort Air Service can pick you up in Nassau and fly you directly to Stella Maris in one of their resort aircraft. This flight is extraordinarily beautiful and lasts about one hour. Rock Hill is less than a mile from the runway.
Stella Maris Resort Air Service is the preferred way to reach Stella Maris. However, Southern Air Charter, Island Wings Charter & Bahamasair also offer daily flights to Stella Maris and Deadman's Cay Airport. Please note that Stella Maris Airport is much more convenient.

The villa's clean, minimal interiors reflect a mastery of the "island modern" aesthetic. Long Island is world-famous for its pristine waters and endless miles of white, sandy beaches and coves.
Rock Hill features a total of 4 Bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Layout: two Master Suites are on the top floor and a Bunk Room (4 beds total) and additional Master Suite on the lower floor.
A Great Room and Lanai offer stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The interiors include furnishings from Restoration Hardware, Design Within Reach and Room & Board. Please note this villa is not suitable for the elderly, toddlers and very young children due to some unprotected walkways, terraces and stairs.
You have free access to the stunning pools/beaches of Stella Maris Resort.
A rental car is not necessary to enjoy yourself at Rock Hill, however, rental cars are strongly recommended for longer stays and/or if you'd like the freedom to explore the entire island at your leisure. Our property manager, Bruno, will assist in arranging rental SUVs for your stay. They can be left at the airport or house for your convenience.
Prior to your arrival, you can email a shopping list to our property manager and your fridge/pantry will be stocked when you arrive.
All persons are required to have a valid passport for travel to The Bahamas (certain nationalities may require a Visa). If arriving into Stella Maris Airport, our property manager will greet you at the airport. This beautiful 4 BR, duplex villa was built for a designer and architect. It is informal, open, functional and well stocked with everything needed for cooking and serving meals. Each BR has it's own "en-suite" bathroom. The showers are HUGE and warm water is plentiful. There were ample beach towels and sun hats provided. A dedicated "water cooler" with large bottles of spring water provided all needed potable water. The house is approx 1kM from the Stella Maris resort and 0.5kM from the Stella Maris beach and beach bar.The host (Bruno) was attentive, available and very helpful. He arranged for a rental car and we gave him a shopping list of groceries which were already in the house when we arrived.

This is such a quiet, peaceful location!What we loved about the house:- well appointed with very comfortable beds - access to the pool next door (although the pool water was a bit chilly for me- my kids didn't seem to mind!) - very clean, modern decor, low clutter- lots of extras (kids games, books, cooking supplies, spices, ice cube trays, extra drinking water, beach towels)- Property Manager support: Bruno was very helpful in getting us checked in, assisting with grocery shopping (I HIGHLY recommend this add on service) and ensuring our rental vehicle and transport were set up (also recommend using Bruno for car rental coordination) . We only ran into 1 hiccup on arrival when the electricity was out, but it was short lived & was up within a couple of hours and Bruno checked in & ensured we had what we needed during this brief disruption.What we loved about the location of house:- proximity to Moonshine Beach Bar, Erna's Nature pool & Stella Maris resort- Beaches nearby: Love beach, Cape Santa Maria, Dealts beach.We would not hesitate to stay here again, thank you for sharing your home with us!

My family consisting of my husband, 2 adult daughters (27 & 19) and their fiancé/boyfriend and 2 teen daughters (16 & 14) absolutory loved staying at Rock Hill and would not hesitate to do so again. The property is spacious and has a beautiful view, though you do have to make a short drive to enjoy truly swimmable beaches. The Moonshine Bar is great for an afternoon snack and a frozen beverage...enjoyed almost daily by our entire party. They also have some fun weekly rum parties with music and such. The dining room at Stella Maris is good and works in a pinch, but it is expensive. I recommend Tiny's for exceptionally good food, beautiful views and a delightful breeze. Bruno was wonderfully attentive and you don't realize how nice that is until you deal with less than attentive property managers! A couple of things that would make the stay more enjoyable are: 1. A couple of cushy chairs or a more traditional sofa - while my girls seemed to enjoy the sofa (which is very low to the ground and has very little cushion), my husband most definitely did not. 2. A television in living room/bedrooms - after a long day of snorkeling/adventuring we enjoy watching movies as a family. We were able to hook our laptop to the projector and watch Netflix, but it was a bit more effort than would be necessary if there was a TV in the space. A TV in the master rooms would also be nice when you want to escape your family and catch an episode of whatever you are binging. Overall - Excellent!
