Big Leaf 18 is the sort of Sunriver retreat that invites a family to settle in and stay awhile. Spacious without feeling impersonal, comfortable without losing its mountain character, this home is designed for shared meals, long conversations, quiet mornings, and the easy pleasure of having everyone together under one roof.
The great room is the natural heart of the home, anchored by a handsome stone gas fireplace and generous seating for evenings spent talking, reading, or watching a favorite film. Large windows bring in the surrounding pines, while air conditioning keeps summer days comfortable and the fireplace lends warmth to cooler Central Oregon nights.
The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped for group meals, with granite countertops, upgraded appliances, a gas range, and both drip and Keurig coffee makers. The adjacent dining area seats eight at the table, with five additional seats at the breakfast bar, creating an easy gathering place for everything from pancake breakfasts to leisurely dinners after a day outdoors.
The sleeping arrangements give larger groups room to spread out comfortably. On the main level, Bedroom One is a king suite with a private ensuite bathroom featuring a soaking tub and walk-in shower. Bedroom Two is also a king suite with its own private bathroom. A sleeper sofa in the living room provides additional flexibility. Upstairs, Bedroom Three and Bedroom Four each have a queen bed and share a full bathroom with double sinks. Bedroom Five has two twin beds, making it a natural fit for younger guests or friends traveling together.
Outside, the private hot tub offers a peaceful place to end the day beneath the pines. Deck seating and a gas grill make outdoor meals simple, while three adult cruiser-style bikes provide an easy way to explore Sunriver’s miles of paved pathways.
Back at the house, ping pong and foosball add a little friendly competition to the evening. Whether the day has been spent biking, exploring the river, or simply enjoying the quiet of Sunriver, Big Leaf 18 offers the kind of setting that makes it easy to slow down and enjoy one another’s company.

House was nicer than the pictures show! Awesome location in a quiet culdesac, and the back deck overlooks two greens of a really pretty course. We had a great time!

The home was exceptionally well stocked for a large group. Plenty of room to stretch out in the living room and the kitchen was a cooks dream with plenty of space for more than one cook! The mosquitoes were awful this year so bring mosquito repellent! Our group throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming to SunRiver again!!

The house is beautiful, well-appointed (included a brand-new propane grill), and a golf course is always a pretty backdrop. It felt enormous with vaulted ceilings and a majestic fireplace. The decor was clean and uncluttered. It wasn't obvious (to me) that the homeowners association benefits were not available, as the Bennington rentals are not part of the association, although there are some discounts offered on some of the services. I ended up in one of the queen beds, which moved a lot when a partner rolls/tosses/turns. It seemed very lightweight. Aside from those little issues, this was a fantastic stay, and the area was filled with entertainment. I would rent again. If you could swap out the queen with a heavier king set-up, it'd go a long way.
