This is an older home in a residential area on a one-way street, which you can easily navigate to points of interest! Away from the immediate bustle of downtown and no view of the Battery, BUT, still quite charming! It’s best to unload from parking spots and enter through the back door to the kitchen. Keypad was user friendly. Be ready for the typical steps of older homes, though! A little steep and lots of them! Our favorite thing was the long dining room table where we could gather to talk, as a family the first night! Comfortable seating for our 10 people. We had to pull up chairs to make that work in the “living room”, but that was fine. The host made it very welcoming with snacks, coffee, complimentary “rainbow row” water bottles and “rainbow row” umbrellas to borrow. There was nicely restored hard wood floors and the unique (actual) penny lacquered foyer floor! Charming bird/floral wallpaper in that same entrance with muted colored (calming) painted walls throughout the rest of this older home. Bedrooms with comfy mattresses, along with upper-end linens and nice fresh towels! The redone lighting was well thought out and sufficient! Closets a little small, but suitcases racks available, as well as dresser drawers. Terry cloth robes was an unexpected perk; especially if you had a bedroom w/o a bathroom attached. (only two didn’t) so no problem!Upper “Eagles’ Nest” bedroom is quite the climb—-but once there, a cool refuge w/ door shut and A/C on!

We stayed at this property during our daughter's wedding weekend in Charleston. The home was beautiful and fit our family of 8 very comfortably. It was close to all of our activities in downtown Charleston and the host was very easy to work with. The house is stocked with all of the essentials making for a very enjoyable stay. The parking spots behind the home were ideal as we had two vehicles during our stay. I would highly recommend this property for large groups staying in the Charleston area!

This house was well equipped from top to bottom! The appliances were clean and fully functional with complete sets of dishes, cutlery and cooking to accommodate our group!
