My mom couldn't figure out how to enter the property (she's 82, which was likely related to the problem) and Annie, the property manager was on site within 5 minutes to help her get in. Very responsive host, and immediately available.

The updated house was super clean, and everything seemed very new. Easy access to Traverse City as well as Suttons Bay, Sleeping Bears Dunes, and Old Mission Peninsula.

Our family stayed here for my son's wedding for 4 nights. The location was perfect, close to Traverse City and to our wedding venue. The road noise is a little loud at night but if you use ear plugs, you don't even notice it.The house was bigger than I thought. The master bedroom is the entire upstairs so it is very large. The bathroom and shower was very nice and we always had hot water. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast. The coffee maker was very dirty but we spent some time cleaning it and it was fine. Everyone enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table to chat. My husband enjoyed sitting on the front porch to drink his coffee in the morning. The couch in the living room was so comfortable. We all fought over sitting on it. We actually all watched a football game on the nice large tv one night. We all loved the basement where the game room is. There is an electric fireplace with a nice sitting area as well. Playing darts and pingpong was our favorite. The host was extremely responsive and even moved our trip by a day because of travel plans. I left some items in a drawer and she is mailing them to me.We would definitely stay here again.

So this is a modestly priced (for the time/location) rental and one must curb expectations. LOCATION: v conveniently located. Be aware that the road 30-ft ft in front of the house is @ 55 mph. Kids, animals, drunks beware! There are homes across the street, meaning no view of lake. LOT: spacious, clean garage plus ample driveway room for more cars. No real backyard. Front yard abuts the street (see above). CLEANLINESS: pretty good.APPOINTMENTS: Kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, and adequately stocked with silverware/glasses for a party of 6 adults. Furnishings are clearly old and or inexpensive; designed for a flipped or rental home; not what one would buy for themselves. Beds sufficiently comfy. Nice master bath is more than adequate. Window has no screen on the window but opens fine. Towel hook next to the MBR vanity is wobbly and will fall off soon (I FORGOT to tell the host). LR has large wall mounter TV with lots of channels and good service. Full sized washer/dryer, game rooms in basement; which is clean. HOST: responsive to queries and requests. I don't do many VRBOs so I have little for comparison. But i/we were a bit taken back by written statement within the home that, before departure, WE were responsible for collecting all trash and rolling trash can to the street; stripping beds, taking sheets to the basement, and starting first load of wash; filling the dishwasher of all dirty dishes (ok, maybe not so much this one). Is this the norm?
