This was the perfect place to have a getaway from the big city. It was so peaceful just like the name says. We saw no cars at all and other than the host, no other people. Everywhere we looked was nature surrounding us. The birds were singing and flying all around. We saw 3 deer including a little fawn. We had lovely walks on the different paths. Loved the visiting Tom Cat who acted like he was our personal guard standing outside and meowing when he saw us.Everything we needed was in the tiny house. The kitchen had all the things you need to cook and bake. There were even lots of spices and items on the shelves to use to enhance the meals. The plate of homemade cookies was a great welcome. The 2nd floor was our special living space as we spent most of our time there when we were inside other than downstairs when we were eating. We read, wrote, and relaxed on the futon couch, 2 rocking chairs, and the balcony. Very cozy.It was great to get to meet Kevin and talk with him. He is an easy person to like and chat with. Enjoyed the story about the art sculptures on the property. Would definitely come back and stay!

Kevin was a great host. Responsive when I had issues with the lock. Great homemade cookies.

This stop was well worth the drive off the main road! The host was very communicative before and during our stay, and had a plate of freshly baked cookies waiting for us upon arrival! We found everything clean, welcoming, pet-friendly and comfortable! The kids all thought the yard art was cool, our dogs were thankful for a spacious place to walk, and we enjoyed the peaceful and quiet sounds of nature. Two things to be mindful of for future travelers - if arriving after dark, the roads are a bit narrow and winding; stop for provisions in Jacksonville or other nearby town before going to the cabin. Both minor details but hopefully helpful tips for future guests!

Stayed twice on a recent trip south and back from our home in WI. Dogs absolutely loved the property. Kevin is extremely welcoming, fresh cookies warm from the oven were a treat. Bed is very comfortable. We've always stayed at a place off of the I in past trips, this was so much more peaceful, and enjoyable for the dogs.
