We had an incredible time in Darjeeling and at Planters Heritage. Despite the constant rain, we embarked on a fantastic adventure. There’s so much to explore and do in this beautiful city. The hotel restaurant and Mall Road offer delicious food. Planters Heritage is conveniently located, making it easy to access all the attractions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample seating and luggage space. The hot water heater is small but with rationing of water doable even with long hair. We requested a fan, which they promptly provided. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring our comfort and making us feel welcome.
The hot water tank is a bit small but we made it work.

The staff at the hotel was always very friendly and obliging and very welcoming. Also helpful in aranging transportation.
Breakfast was ok, and also a la carte dinner was decent.
Location is great, right at the beginning of the pedestrian zone.
The hotel itself is older and a bit run down.
Big rooms, but the coziness is unfortunately missing due to no heating (actually in the whole building) and old furniture. In the bathroom there was mold in the shower and hot water supply only for a real quick shower.
Not a five stars hotel according to international standards but rather 3 stars, because of the points mentioned above.
Actually sad to see, that not more is done and invested in such a splendid propperty...
