Good place to relax

Lots of space. Host was very responsive. There were some games and a puzzle.

Downstairs bedroom was much darker than photos showed. Property was further from the beach than we expected - probably a bit further than an easy walk. One of the sun loungers by the pool was broken. There was an airconditioner in the living area but not in any of the bedrooms.

It was beautifully decorated, clean for the most part, and had a great/unique structure.

The accommodation was advertised as suitable for at least 10 people with 10 usable beds; however, this was not an accurate representation. The room with the single beds was extremely uncomfortable, and the remaining “beds” could not reasonably be considered beds by normal standards. Two were foldable sofa-style setups positioned at an angle, making them impractical and uncomfortable for sleeping. As a result, the sleeping capacity felt misleading. Prior to our stay, we were informed that parties were not allowed, which was completely fine and respected. We were not playing music, were not rowdy at any point, and were a small group. However, the way this was communicated, particularly references to previous schoolies groups, made us feel as though we were being treated unfairly or punished for the behaviour of past guests, despite doing nothing wrong. We also experienced cleanliness and maintenance issues. Ants and insects were present throughout the property despite all food being kept in the cupboards. Considering that a cleaning fee was charged and that the property hosts other guests, this was disappointing. Additionally, the outdoor tables were covered in cobwebs, which prevented us from using the area for breakfast. The pool was another major concern. It did not appear to be properly chlorinated or maintained. The floor was noticeably slimy, and the water had an unpleasant taste, making it uncomfortable and unenjoyable to use. During our stay, we received a call regarding noise after 9pm following a neighbour complaint. While we understand the importance of respecting noise restrictions, there was no music and only light conversation and laughter. The tone of the communication was rude and felt unnecessary, leaving us feeling unfairly judged rather than respectfully addressed.
