Two Walloon Lake Cottages Perfect for a Multi-Family Vacation!
Nestled on the North Arm of Walloon Lake, these two lovely cottages situated on one large waterfront parcel is the perfect layout for multiple families. The spacious backyard is an ideal setting for yard games and creating memories on the lake. With 100 feet of waterfront, there is plenty of space to swim and play. The North Arm of Walloon Lake has a soft and grassy bottom, so it is not ideal for little ones wanting to swim, but there is a public beach 9 miles from the property. The brand-new dock is perfect for mooring a boat, and if you are looking to do more on the lake, Tommy’s on Walloon is the perfect spot to rent watercrafts, paddle boards, and more! This rental is perfectly positioned – a 12 minute drive to Petoskey, Walloon Village, and Bay Harbor.
These cottages are set up so that the traveling parties can have their space, but still be right by each other. The lakeside cottage has three bedrooms, two baths with a full laundry, living room, and kitchen. One of the bedrooms is located on one end of the house and is set up as a primary suite. The roadside cottage has two bedrooms, one bath, and also has a laundry, living area, and kitchen. Combined there are five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

This is the second time we have stayed here and love the location. Great for walking and biking plus it’s close to town. The yard is great for the kids too!

The two homes worked absolutely wonderful for our two families. Here are a few things that were not as wonderful. The lake water at this place is not nice. We removed leeches from our kids and the water had a lot of black sediment seaweed that stirred up every time you touched the water. There is not a nice entry into the water for small children. If you were thinking of running off the dock and jumping in, this is not your place. The dock pictured is not the dock at the cottages. There is no AC. Which is fine if there are cooler nights and you can swim but if it's hot at night there is no place to cool down. One warm night we played games at the table and in 20 minutes we had to vacuum up hundreds of bugs that were getting through the screens. Not a pleasant experience on top of already being warm.The cottages were very nice they had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The yard was fun to play games, basketball and sit around the fire. Despite all of these nice things we were there for the lake, for our older kids to paddle board and swim and our youngers to wade in the water and play in the sand. We can find other nice cottages with AC for a much cheaper weekly rate that are not on a lake. For that reason we would not stay here again even though the set up was ideal.
