The staff in the Heyitang Hotel are absolutely excellent. Any queries that we had during our stay were answered promptly.
Some of the positive highlights:
- Free taxi pick-up from Pudong airport, very much appreciated after a long journey.
- Close proximity to the Shanghai metro (Line 2) station, for daily travel to the key city locations.
- Free laundry upon request.
- Efficient daily housekeeping.
- Enjoyable breakfast and evening meals.

Everything in this property was excellent - the staff, services, breakfast. The rooms are very big and nicely decorated. Everyone is very helpful and willing to help despite the language barrier.
Location is a bit far out, but the subway station is very close and it gets you to the city center in 40 minutes.

Terrace for air ventilation. Metro behind building (although instructions and signage poor).
1) Airport pick up was badly organised, too many passengers in the one vehicle and communication poor such that I removed my bags and took the Maglev train and then taxi to the hotel. No attempt to make good the inconvenience & cost incurred. 2) room’s wall had bad watermarks 3) terrace area was littered with plastic covers, empty water bottles & used ashtray. No cleaner was sent to immediately clean.
