Very spacious accommodation for two adults and three teenagers. Two large bedrooms both with ensuites and a large open plan kitchen diner and lounge. We had no problem parking on site and it was a 5 minute drive to Alton Towers theme park.
As we understand the pub only serves food on Friday and Saturday so we went elsewhere to eat. That wasn't a problem for us and we didn't check with the staff so there may have been an option to stay for food. There are other food options in the village but we went to the Tavern in Denstone which was a 5 min drive away which was excellent and we ate in Alton Towers the rest of the time. Self catering in the property is also an option.

Friendly staff, good location
Several things that are not pointed out in the write up.
Not on ground level so not accessible for anyone with mobility problems.
No outside private garden space.
Extremely noisy from the pub below and because it was a warm evening beer garden was rowdy.we had a 4 year old and 7 year old and some bad language could be overheard.
Kitchen was lacking several utensils to make a meal with and not a full set of crockery.
This wasn't a place for us with a young family.
Disappointing as it was for my daughter's birthday.
