The hotel was lovely, the room was lovely, clean,comfortable and perfect size for a family room. The staff were all lovely and helpful in every way, breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Was there yo celebrate my husband birthday. Gave a free upgrade to make even more special.

Our room was first class as was the staff we met.
We just had a small breakfast but that was also top class. Only one thing spoiled it and that was Experia charging £38 more than the actual cost of the room if we had booked a hotel room directly. We won’t be using Experia again lesson learned (book direct).

Stayed two nights at The Ship hotel in August. The room ( no 7) was on the first floor. It was beautifully decorated and the ensuite bathroom, although quite tiny, had a large shower and good shelf space for toiletries. The juliet balcony looked up the hill, with a sea view to the right.
We had a car parking space included, which was very helpful, as space is at a premium.
We had breakfast in the restaurant, the food was good, the fresh orange juice delicious and the staff welcoming. We also had an evening meal . The menu wasn't extensive but the food was tasty and well presented.
Overall a great hotel, well maintained, friendly staff and a good location in Leigh on Sea.
