Location was great. You could walk up to the Mirador San Nicolas and even up to Mirador de la Cruz de Rauda from there.
Lovely room with soft bed and pillows.
Shower has nice temp control and good water pressure. Excellent vegetarian restaurant just at the corner when you go up the hill
Getting up to the top bunk was a bit difficult as you had to hold on to the bed railings in an awkward way. Automatic lights take awhile to detect motion in the stairways so you'd be making your way up the dark for several seconds before they turn on. The auto lights switch off a lot while you shower so you have to open the door and wave your arm so you don't shower in the dark. No trash can in the shower area. Half the hooks you hang your stuff on in the shower are almost off the wall. No additional wall ledge you can put your stuff in when you take a shower.
The bed curtain rail makes the loudest sound (metal on metal) when you draw the curtains open or close.
I booked an 8 bed female dorm room for but there were still men put inside the room.
No free luggage storage. They have storage lockers you have to pay a hourly fee for.

The hostel staff were so welcoming and check in was a breeze. The reception had lots of chair, sofas and tables but plugs. The rooms were very clean and had lots of plug and usb sockets, I enjoyed having the personal light, curtains and lockers were good too. The bathroom and shower facilities in the room were separate to the sleeping area which was good as I didn’t feel like I was disturbing anyone if I was awake earlier. Showers were a good pressure and temperature. Breakfast was really good too with enough choices. They also have a space with lock boxes to keep your bags once you check out if needed. I really enjoyed my stay here.
In the joined shower and toilet room the light sensor doesn’t pick you up when in the shower and goes off after about 10 seconds. I felt like I was going my own flamenco to keep the light on but other than this the place was great.
Also not a fault on the facilities, but just a note to anyone travelling with the mountain warehouse 50L bag pack with wheels - the bag itself doesn’t fit in the lockers.

La ubicación y las instalaciones
Un tal Juanjo en recepción me grito de mala manera y estaba atendiendo varias personas a la vez yo creo que si tienen estrés laboral es de muy mala educación agarrársela con el cliente que está pagando para alojarse en el hostel y si no les gusta el trabajo deberían dejar lugar a quien lo quiera hacer bien, ser amable con el cliente es el 80% de un buen servicio de hoteleria.
