Beautiful property with lots of history, which is very present throughout. Fabulous central location and car parking nearby. Staff were super helpful and made us feel welcome and comfortable. We were moved to a new room after a member of staff noted a defect in our allocated room. Both rooms were comfortable, clean and well presented. The complimentary tea and coffee and toiletries are a nice touch. I loved how each room had some history on why it was named what it was and links to the white star line. Breakfast was exceptionally good value for money, and delicious. Eating on the roof terrace was spectacular and the views were stunning. Again the staff at breakfast weee wonderful. We will be back!

Location is very good
Room needs a major make over and we paid extra for the deluxe room.
Bedside lights didnt work.
Iron cord showing bare wires.
Iron dirty.
Light in bathroom very poor.
Shower water did not drain so stood in loads of water while showering.
Windows nailed shut.
1 small fan
Breakfast - cup of tea was cold, they did change this when asked.
Bacon was cold.
Egg hard.
Beans tasted very sweet.
Hash brown sloppy.
Also they physically take £100 from your bank as a deposit then you have to wait for it to be returned. Most hotel take a holding deposit that doesn't actually leave your account.
Overall - we would not book there again. This used to be 30 James Street and was awful. White star have taken over and was hoping it had been updated.
