The hotel has lovely architecture and is really well situated. You can walk to the docks or the cavern area, so you don't need a car if you want to eat and drink locally.
We came back from eating and wanted to have a drink in the bar, but it was being cleaned at the time. The evening staff pointed us to Ma Boyle's jazz cafe just around the corner, which had live music until late. Perfect to end the evening.
If I am picky, then our room was right next to the Pig and Whistle and there were some amazingly bad singers on the karaoke. I can't hold this against the racquet club, and to be fair, they did say music could be heard until 1am and they gave the option to cancel. I don't want this to seem like it was something we weren't prepared for.
