Would of been perfect but breakfast spoilt it no fried eggs food was cold and breakfast staff not very helpful

The room and spa was lovely and staff on reception where very nice

Just the breakfast I paid £15 for in the morning

pleasant stay

we enjoyed the jacuzzi bath which is what we really pulled us to this hotel and the room warmed up nicely despite the cold outside.

our luxury room for two wasnt so luxurious. it was very small with large support pillars in random places. only one bedside table and only one chair. only one really small window that didn't give much light and could not be opened.

Pleasant stay, staff were friendly and happy to help.

Bathtubs looked great just didn’t get chance to use them, staff were more than happy to help us

Can’t say I disliked it but just noise at daft o’clock in the morning but it’s to be expected in a hotel really, just a little more sound proofing would do the trick on the walls to the corridor

Fantastic find & great value.

Location was fantastic. Less than 5 mins walk to main shopping district. Room was fabulous. Themed room called YOLO, 2 king size beds & a single. Bathroom with 2 free standing baths & a shower room. Was well impressed with our room especially for price we paid on booking.com. Interior was a little tired on stairs but hotel & foyer was lovely. Would deffo go again.

Iron didn’t work & no phone in room to ring reception. Tried calling off my mobile but no answer but no big deal but could have been plus Pap test was last done july 2022 according to the iron sticker. Also shower was freezing but again I could have had a bath or 2

Disappointing

Ideal location for central Liverpool. Parking was around the corner... maybe this can be made clearer on Booking.com. £15.20 for 24 hrs was reasonable as it was immediately below the hotel. Payment via paybyphone app. Large room with a king, queen and 2 single beds.

The decor was coming apart in some places. My room ,231, had shower problems with mostly scorching water, so use of the jacuzzi was nil. The beds were dusty. The extraction vent didn't work.There is no phone for reception, and calling using a mobile was useless as no one answered. Terrace is not in use so disappointing. WiFi within my room was intermittent depending on where you were.

Exceptional

The location is very local to most places. Stayed on a hen do & it was a beautiful place.

I couldn't fault the hotel at all. It was such a beautiful hotel and the staff were all lovely!

Came as a couple for a relaxing couple days, will definitely be back for a stay

The location was perfect, the hotel was nice & clean, all staff very polite.

The tv in room 403 didn’t have local channels only stream channels, only 1 window had handles to open.

Very good

The breakfast was not good, we came down and had to wait 20 minutes for the buffet breakfast to be refilled, hotel have said they will refund us for the breakfast, we will just wait and see .

Disappointed

The location

Room had a smashed window, peeling wallpaper, loose plug socket, thick with dust in places. Broken window handles, side units with handles broken off, skirting board was broken. Windows we’re stuck at the half open position so the noise from the city was extremely loud, when we turned up for breakfast on the Sunday morning there was hardly anything left and there was mould on the pastry’s and there was water coming through the roof of the bar. Keys to room wouldn’t work so it took multiple trips to reception to get this sorted, kettle was faulty other than that it was great. Don’t think we will trust booking.com again or visit the shankly.

Style of property and location

Very Dated, carpets in room stained. Bar closed early and refused to serve us at 10.15pm. TV didn’t work, roof outside room leaking with dripping water into a bucket. Lift not working.

First and last time staying here.

The location was great for Liverpool one and The Albert Dock.

Pretty much everything. it’s very dated, wallpaper coming away from the walls, paint damage, windows locked shut so we couldn’t get any air into the room. Some of the staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there and didn’t even give us as much as a welcome smile. lots of cigarettes butts outside the window.

The place needs updating fast!! Has fantastic potential but the decor lets it down and the dirty carpets.

The restaurant was beautiful and staff were really lovely.

From coming out of the carpark the place looked dirty, old and in desperate need for some decoration. The whole place needs attention!!! our door lock you could see had been forced or kicked in??? kept chairs against it inside when in bed as rather concerned. would I go back and stay again definitely not unfortunately.

Very central and access to parking. The room was very spacious.

Our room had a very strong odour possibly of cigarettes. The air conditioning intake vent was covered in a thick layer of felt-like dust that we felt the need to clean off. Similarly, the outlet had not been cleaned in a long time. The windows were filthy. The curtain tabs were broken making it difficult to close them. There was a small amount of rubbish in the sink from previous guests. It gives the impression that the cleaners and maintenance were on a tight budget from management/owners.

it was good value for money, enjoyed the Jacuzzi bath. room was very spacious and good location for the centre

not that impresses

nice big room, lovely Jacuzzi bath, comfy bed

staff attitude very poor. housekeeping non existent. noisy room, windows wouldn’t close properly. curtains wouldn’t cover the windows so light through all night. this hotel needs a refurb as it’s old and tired looking.

Me and my partner loved our stay and will book again.

The breakfast was good and location of hotel very good and the room was excellent staff at the reception very good and helpful.

fine apart from the noise from outside

room was a good standard and friendly staff

could not sleep as our room was on the main road and could hear all traffic and people walking past. curtains was not black out. the noise of the traffic kept me awake and also woke the baby up on a number of occasions

For the price we paid - dissapointing - late to check in, no wifi and a very noisy night

Breakfast was very nice, one of the nicest we've had

Had to wait 20 mins after 3pm to check in as "housekeeping staff were busy" One of the windows in the room was broken and could hear traffic all night No wifi in the room...

Not what the pictures show

The reception was lovely.

Room 212 When we arrived at the hotel they told us our room wasn't ready ie 15:00 so we couldn't get into our room until 15:30. This was not good enough as I requested earlier check in. When we got to the room the room smelled of bleach and the windows were locked so we couldn't open them to let out the fumes. there was a creamy residue on the headboard of the bed and two empty gin and tonic cans in the press in the bathroom. We requested a room with two double beds but instead we got one double and two singles. when we went to put our beds together there was rotton floor boards in the corner. Overall we didnt enjoy our experience.

Poor

Check in was horrendous. 50 minutes wait and only then was I given the room as I complained. This was at 5pm!! Food was wrong twice in restaurant. Staff just dont care
