The castle is remarkable. The Host is actually an Owner who together with he husband are trying to renovate it and give it another life. The room and bathroom were very clean. View from the window lovely. Great possibilities to walk a dog either down the river or down the fields. And to all of this - we stayed there all on our own! Great experience!
Don't understand some people complaining about it, when booking, you see the pictures and so definetely understand what are you going for.
It has nothing to do with the property. But the town where the castle is situated has a very scarce possibilities where to eat out. Loads of places have closed down. We found only the Vienna Caffe working and it was good. But we were lucky not to come on Monday - because then it is closed. We found a bakery on the market square which was great but it doesn't work on Sundays. Other then that only some pizza, kebab and Vietnamese takeaways. Just to keep it in mind. Otherwise there are two supermarkets but they don't work on Sundays (as everywhere in Germany). But the town is very pretty with its working narrow gauge raillway.

Idyllisches Anwesen und sehr unkomplizierte und nette Schlossherrin . Wir wurden herzlich empfangen von Mensch und Tieren !

Von außen ist das Gebäude sehr eindrucksvoll aber stark renovierungsbedürftig.
Man befindet sich auf einer wohl schon sehr lange bestehenden Baustelle. Die 3 fertiggestellten Zimmer zeigen schon Ausbesserungsarbeiten, die nicht fachgerecht ausgeführt wurden. Schwarze Fugen der Bodenfliesen wurden mit hellem Silikon ausgebessert, Spachtelarbeiten im Bad sind wenig fachgerecht ausgeführt.
Fensterläden sind nicht vorhanden und Vorhänge gibt es nicht , somit steht man am Abend beim Umkleiden wie im beleuchteten Schaufenster und um 4.35 Uhr wird man von der Morgensonne geweckt !
