The views were lovely, the decor is a little eccentric but interesting none the less. Hosts were friendly. Breakfast is self service with some home baked goodies.
The atmosphere was a bit strange because you share the downstairs with the hosts. It is a big, remote house and we appeared to be the only people In the house for some of the time, the hosts having gome out for the evening. This felt a bit strange! It is easy to get lost when trying to find the house. You must follow the instructions given.

The accommodation is situated in a quite isolated area and we needed to be guided by the host to be able to find the place. A suggestion would be that a sign is added in a more visible place for guests to be able to find the place more easily. IMPORTANT to note is that the hosts live in the same house as guests -something that was not clear from the Booking ad. They mark 'private' or 'guests' different areas which might feel a bit weird. During the night we were hearing some voices and people going around as the door to the room was not very soundproof. The worst, however, was that the breakfast is self-service which means that you enter the kitchen of the host (the guest part) and take what they offer and then sit on their table. The mini-fridge had some cream cheese and jam, yogurt and juice but most of these were already open and used - which from a hygiene perspective was not ideal and made us feel a bit uncomfortable. The bread and scones offered were stale. Honestly, I just wanted to leave the place as soon as possible.
The accommodation has a beautiful view and is very artistically decorated. The room is nicely sized although it does not have much of a view. The overall vibe and the set up (staying in someone else's house and self-service breakfast) made us very uncomfortable and we were glad we did not have to stay an extra night.
