Schöne Unterkunft

Sehr schöne Lage. Gut beschildert. Wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und die Besitzerin hat für uns auf die schnelle noch ein Whiskey Tasting bei Beara Distillery möglich gemacht, welche nicht weit weg ist und wirklich ein Erlebnis war! Sehr saubere Räumlichkeiten und bequeme Betten!

Keine Steckdose im Bad für den Föhn Der Spiegel im Badezimmer könnte größer sein

Home from home

Cottage Heights is impeccably clean and brightly decorated. During my visit on a cold January stretch the house was warm and cosy. The welcome is warm and friendly. Mary and Tim are very open, chatty and helpful. The view was amazing and will only be moreso on the long summer days. I will definitely visit again.

There was nothing about Cottage Heights or my visit that I didn't like. If I was to write something here, I would really have to think hard about something small and ridiculous. I won't.

nothing at all🙂 (a few more hooks in the room and bathroom would be handy to hang up (wet) jackets, hoodies, place toilet bags etc)

Beautiful View

The room was beautiful with perfect views. Breakfast was delicious and Mary was very helpful.

Only something small but tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice (it was available all day in the breakfast room)

Excellent stay from check in to check out. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely cooked breakfast.

The only thing why I didnt like was the gravel carpark as I was on a motorbike. But it was fine.

A treasure in Beara, West Cork

The hospitality of the owners and staff made us feel so at home.. The breakfasts were delicious and generious.... The location is amazing, with views of Bere island, Bantry bay, the harbours mouth, the fishing Fleet and mountains... A nice stroll from the town, up on a small hill... The bedrooms are cozy and what with the ever changing Light and sea breezes, combined with the high song of seagulls, you awake pleasently in the morning..

Clean, very comfortable room and friendly, helpful staff.

Breakfast was limited. No cereal or fruit/yogurt on offer. Small portions and brown bread wasn’t fresh.

Great Value.

Great value, a bargain even which is almost unheard of in Ireland circa 2023. A warm welcome, comfortable clean rooms, a nice view of the bay. What more could one ask for in a one night stay.

I had to check out early so did not have breakfast but that's my fault.

Exceptional

Perfect place to spend a few nights and discover the peninsula. The room was comfortable, we even had sea view. Very lovely owner, breakfast was delicious. Lovely small town around and excellent sea food. Special thanks to Mary who made our stay perfect

Mary gave us a warm welcome and she was a mother to us . Everything was just perfect. The room and bathroom were heated, which is not always the case in other bnbs . Mary gave us precious pieces of advice for our visits . We had a room with an astounding view over the bay . There’s ample parking and it’s within an easy drive to the town . The cooked breakfasts were delicious. Mary was easy to talk to and she cares about her guests whom she pampers . We ´d be only too pleased to come again . Cottage Heights is also very good value for money, which is not always the case in other bnbs . Carry on the good work , Mary .

Driving around the Beara peninsula

Room was big and spotless clean, the house has a great parking space and it's 10 mins walking to the centre of Castletownbere. Great location to explore the Beara peninsula. Excellent Irish breakfast with many options. Friendliest staff and owner. Very good value!

The tea and coffee facilities are in the dining room rather than in the room.

The location is perfect and just a short walk to pubs and restaurants. The view from our room was lovely. A great breakfast set us up for the day. Our host couldn't have been more obliging. Looking forward to going back.
