The property was easy to access and was nearby to where we needed to be. As soon as the host realised her mistake, she did her utmost to have the bedding changed and cleaners in.
When we arrived the host had forgotten we were coming so none of the bedding was changed, nor was the property clean. This meant we had stay out and could only set up our kids' beds only after the bedding was changed at 8 pm. The shower door also didn't close properly on the second night and water pooled over the bathroom floor, which meant I couldn't take a shower. There were also multiple large cockroaches at night. This is not the fault of the host, but just to note, you are staying in an old Queenslander building.
The host offered late checkout to compensate us for the inconvenience but we did not need this. She did not respond to a request for a refund of the accommodation fee as an alternative.
Overall, probably worth staying elsewhere for the same price.

Lovely property with a tonne of character
We arrived in the night and was a little difficult to find the light switch’s inside but luckily I had a torch on my phone, only a minor inconvenience.

Very pretty historic style cottage in a good location.
The listing showed a fireplace in 3 of the 9 photos. A week out from the booking we were advised the fireplace wasn’t working.
A bag of outgoing laundry from the prior guests was at the front door when we arrived and stayed there for the duration of our stay.
Little things were lacking from a supplies perspective, like no spare bin bag to put in the bin. For the price charged for the stay these things are expected.
