Good concept, poor execution

Comfy bed, room was pretty warm even with window open

Lots of “conveniently left-out” details. Yes, the shower is outside, but it has no running water and you have to boil a kettle for 30 mins outside and mix water in a bucket with cold water from the tap to shower. Yes, there is a toilet, but is an outdoors wooden composting one in which you have to throw wood shavings as a replacement for a flush. I’ve been camping before and when they said there’s toilet and bathroom available, they’d usually have running water but this wasn’t the case. The property says there’s a refrigerator available in the room but before checking in we were told it broke so we didn’t have that either. The air in the hut is very humid to the point of being mouldy. We slept with the window open all night. This happens even with most tents that the humidity gets trapped inside, but it still needed to be better ventilated in between visits. We also saw lots of mould on the ceiling fabric, especially near the entrance. I’m not sure how this can even be sorted out, but is worth noting for anybody who might be allergic to mould. The images make it look way more remote than it actually is. It looks like it could be in the middle of a forest. In reality, you are in someone’s backyard garden, some windows don’t have curtains and there’s people walking past the hut a lot especially during daytime. No parking on site and we were told to park next to the church, but the church has no actual parking so you need to park in the street by a dry stone wall and hope nobody scratches your car as they pass by. There would be space on the road leading to the hut for an additional parking spot but we were told there isn’t. So you’d be walking in pitch darkness for like 7 minutes to get back. It is not an accessibility-friendly spot for old or disabled people at all. There’s a few narrow stairs with nothing to hold onto, narrow muddy paths and lots of walking to do from the church parking. Even the outdoors toilet has stairs and nothing to hold onto.

Argumentative host. Not value for money.

Bedroom, bed was comfy

Open air kitchen, open air shower, long drop toilet facilities are basic camping facilities. Boiling water for a hot shower in an urn and pouring into bag attached shower and battery powered water pump - very basic and ineffective. Was expecting better really.

Wohnen im Hobbithaus mit schöner Aussicht auf den wilden Garten und Outdoordusche, herrlich! Kunstvoll verziertes Haus, drinnen mit Lektüre, Lampions und Leuchten, abenteuerlich! Herzliche und freundliche Gastgeberin!

Manche Ausstattung war etwas verdreckt. Man kann nicht in der Nähe parken, aber es gibt im Ort Möglichkeiten dafür.
