About this farm stay rental

Make yourself at home in this 135 year old 1-bedroom farmhouse on Mt. Desert Island. Located very close to a busy and sometimes noisy Rt. 198, Sound House puts you about 10 minutes to Northeast Harbor, 20 minutes to Seal Harbor, 20 to 25 minutes to Bar Harbor, about 30 minutes to Southwest Harbor and only minutes to Acadia National Park. Enjoy all that Mount Desert Island has to offer when you stay at Sound House.

Nice house traffic noise is as listed. Probably hot in July and August as no a/c but fine for June. No place to hang up clothes but lots of cabinets.

We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse! The location was very convenient for all of our activities and served and a perfect base to explore all the area has to offer. We loved the full kitchen so we could cook instead of going out each night. We would certainly stay again if we travel back to the area.

Charming centrally located property that was perfect for our needs. Kimberly left thorough information about the house which made us feel right at home. The kitchen was spacious, and everything was spotless. We would definitely stay here again.
