Madeira House

Large pod Nespresso coffee/tea bags provided, refrigerator/freezer, lovely bed and pillows, private deck with deck chairs and loungers overlooking river, mostly private (there were two chairs in front of the bedroom which would have been visible to neighbors and a shared table and chairs on the level below us), lap blanket and comfy chairs in studio, deep tub with river views, JOI oat milk creamer was a pleasant surprise. Quiet, peaceful—though I don’t think there were many people staying there at the time. Sage, where we stayed, is below another room. I don’t know if we would have heard anyone staying above us had it been occupied.

No full kitchen, only a “problem” because there were few places nearby to get meals. Might be a little small with inclement weather as much of our time was spent on the deck.

From the moment we walked into our cottage the attention to detail was so clear-the comfy chairs, the fresh Madeira flower, and a cozy blanket. The bathroom was bright with a sky light, a slanted tub perfect for soaking, and heated floors. We appreciated all the extras: Nespresso maker, kettle for tea, the beautiful glassware, and the carafes for water. The location is perfect! We loved birdwatching on balcony, listening to the sounds of the water.

Everything was wonderful; I wish I had booked another day! I would have liked robes.

Upstairs room guests were extremely loud running in the room non-stop the moment they checked in. That took away the serenity of our stay on our last day.

The gardens,views and quitness

Not 420 friendly at all. Had to leave property, couldn't vape outside to relax. Also not ADA friendly at all.
