About this cottage rental
This adorable Harrison cottage boasts a dock, lakefront patio, lakefront deck, fenced yard and additional side lot with 50 amp service if you desire to bring additional guests to stay in their own RV at additional cost. Recently remodeled, all floors are laminate, countertops are granite, furnishings are newer. Pet friendly, there is a fenced yard with a dog door to house as well as gates to lake and rear yard. Both cozy bedrooms feature queen beds with built in drawer bases. Whimsical hooks provide space for hanging clothing. Bed linens, 6 bath towels and 4 beach towels are included. The spacious bathroom includes a walk in shower, toilet, sink with mirror, and stackable laundry center. All interior doors are barn door style. The kitchen and dining area offer counter and dining table seating with matching counter height bar stools. Kitchen is well stocked with small appliances, coffee pot, toaster, milkshake maker, cooking pans, dishes and utensils. There is a microwave, electric stove, 4 door fridge with freezer, dishwasher. The L shaped living space has a comfy sectional sofa with lounge seat. A 70inch Smart TV and WiFi is also included. Two sliding doors with screens open to the large deck with 2 sets of stairs to the yard and lakeside patio, Outside dining table and chairs, plus gas fire pit, and lounge chairs are just steps away from the dock. Guests are welcome to use the dock for their own boat. Two newer sit upon kayaks, paddles and a 4 person paddleboat are available for guests to use.
Sand Lake is part of the Harrison Chain of Lakes and connects via a no wake channel to Boathouse Lake, Townline Lake, Icehouse Lake and Haven Lake. Kerns convenience store/gas station, Weekend at Bernies boutique, Crossroads Corner/Gas station, Mr. Vetoes Pizza, Dollar General are all within one mile. Downtown Harrison, home of the Clare County fairgrounds, Wilson State Park, Restaurants/Bars/Fast Food, Gas, Groceries, Bowling within 10 miles. Houghton Lake, Gladwin and Clare with Mid Michigan Community College, Jays Sporting Goods and plenty of restaurants and boutiques including Sapphire Boutique are all within a 20 minute drive. Central Michigan University and the Soaring Eagle Casino are just 30 minutes away in Mount Pleasant.

Lovely older cottage that's been nicely remodeled and updated, with newer appliances. Very pet-friendly and it was great to have a fenced yard for the dogs. Our Frenchie really enjoyed the "sunbathing" spots by the big sliding doors.The vacant lot on one side made it feel like we had a bit more privacy.The view of the lake is superb. Both the neighborhood and lake were quiet and peaceful during our stay - several pontoons and kayaks went by, but no noisy boats.

Super clean and lovely home. Definitely remodeled and modern. We really enjoyed our stay and wish it would have been longer lol. Wonderful host and property.

We are in love with this property! It was a relaxing, fishing weekend with the family and we all had such a great time. We took our dog, and it was set up to be very pet friendly. She had a doggy door that went outside and a fenced in area, super convenient! The property is so clean, so open and airy, amazing lake views. We loved the beachy vibe and the attention to detail. The kitchen was a dream, we were able to fix all of our meals there. There was everything we needed and more! The use of the paddleboat and kayaks to go explore were an extra bonus. We caught so many fish right off the dock. The whole process was easy, my questions answered very quickly by Brenda. They have done an AMAZING job updating this property, we would go back and 100% recommend!

This lovely “cottage” is tastefully decorated with serene colors, making it so relaxing. Clean everything - all new hi-end appliances, comfortable beds with quality linens, great sectional couch for watching TV. And the spacious lakeside deck, new concrete to the seawall for ease of access (and no sand being dragged inside!) and convenient dock. All these added to a wonderful getaway.
