We loved the beautiful house we were assigned by Charalambous who was very helpful, the traditional decor and the facilities which were not the most luxurious but were in keeping with the small Greek village it was close to and the life there. The house was airconditioned, the beds were comfortable, there were screens on almost all the windows, the kitchen facilites were very good and the bathroom was simple but good. The hand held shower head means that not so much water is wasted which, I understand, is very important in some parts of Greece snd the world. The views were absolutely stunning, the proximity to the sea and the little beaches was wonderful. The shop and little taverna on the beach made our stay very easy and enjoyable. There are some very good, marked walking trails in the area to the Minoan harbour and to the monasteries and old churches . We had a lovely and very memorable stay. We would love to come back.
