Easy access; good location; reasonably quiet; large bedroom and ensuite.
The matress was a little too soft

We stayed in the room towards the side of the house; other guests had exclusive access to the house.
We had total privacy and the room was clean and had everything we needed.
Our host was very helpful and welcoming.
My son and I wanted a quick breakfast before going to the studio and this worked without issue - crockery etc was provided. The small fridge in the room took the 4 pint jug my son would easily glug during the short stay and the microwave was perfect for my porridge. The kettle was ideal for my travel coffee filter.
There’s a Coop within a very short walk for essentials. We walked from the train station; if you had a lot of luggage it might have been better on a bus but we had light bags.
Harry Potter was of course our destination, and this property is perfect for that - it was maybe 10 minutes walk. On foot you show your tickets at a security booth first. It was great being able to arrive late the night before, knowing we’d definitely be at our 9.30 slot in the morning. Also nice not to have to take luggage with us.
It’s a quiet neighbourhood, little traffic noise and no general hubbub. Felt safe even very late at night.
You immediately walk from outside to a lovely clean tiled floor, so a doormat would have been ideal for our shoes - though it might have ended up being something to trip on.
There’s only an internal door between this side room and the rest of the house, and it sounds like it connects with the kitchen. If the other guests are loud or start the day with early coffees, you’ll hear it along with every word they say. (I took earplugs and slept through fine, and wasn’t expecting a silent retreat.)
