We’re all about transparency:

You may occasionally hear footsteps from the upstairs unit — while the space is cozy and feels very private, it is located in a shared building. As is typical in classic Chicago homes, some noise from upstairs neighbors walking around may be heard. It’s nothing constant or overwhelming, but something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to sound. Fans and white noise machines are provided for your comfort.

Some HVAC vents have lower ceiling clearance; guests over 6 feet should be mindful - but it doesn’t affect the comfort or usability of the overall space.

Air Conditioning & Heating Note:
The unit has central air conditioning that is shared with the upstairs unit, and the temperature is centrally controlled—so it cannot be adjusted from inside the unit. However, you can control the heat from inside the unit to suit your comfort.
To help keep things comfortable, we’ve provided standing fans in the living room and both bedrooms, as well as both summer and winter blankets. We do our best to make the space cozy year-round.
