Our family of four loved this property. Exceptionally clean, beautifully presented and private location. And yes, there are kangaroos around. Kitchen had fantastic provisions - although we only used for breakfast (thank you for the fresh milk in the fridge!). We ate out at the local Moonee Beach Hotel, and charged our EV at the hotel while we ate.

This property was so beautiful, from the second I walked in the door. I turned to my husband and said that we should stay another night or two! Very clean, well thought out, had everything you need for a one night or one weekday. Very close to Moonee Beach and Coffs Harbour with great access. Was a great little overnighter for my husband and two year-old.

Our stay at The Lazy Roo was absolutely amazing. The location is incredibly convenient, and the hosts have clearly put so much thought into every detail — the decor is beautiful, warm, and instantly makes the space feel homey and comfortable. I loved that the accommodation is completely separate from the main house, with its own driveway and private access, which made the stay feel peaceful and self‑contained.Check‑in was super easy, and the place was stocked with everything you could possibly need, including a washer and dryer — such a bonus when travelling. It was the perfect stop on our trip, and we felt relaxed the entire time.
Honestly, nothing to fault. Everything exceeded expectations.

Beautiful little unit with comfortable quiet surroundings but unfortunately it did let us down in some areas. This is a shame as we had travelled 6 hours from queensland. The unit itself is clean, comfortable & thoughtfully decked out with everything you need from zip lock bags, glad wrap, alfoil & fly spray. The location is perfect, nice & quiet with next to no noise from the highway. The beds are extremely comfortable & we enjoyed having a TV to watch while snuggled in bed. This place is perfect for a 1 or 2 night stay.
Shower pressure was extremely poor, bathroom tiles slippery when wet with no safety features & was not suitable for our elderly family member due to it being a falls risk. If you are a smoker or vapor, be aware that you need to stand out in the street as no smoking on premises was not made clear when booking the accommodation.
