An excellent location at the end of a historical trail through a mountain pass right at the end of a beautiful town in a beautiful region of Japan. The facilities and staff were excellent, and I very much enjoyed both the dinner and Japanese Breakfast. A really nice touch was to see the owner of the hotel keep up his ancestors traditions and watch him training his samurai skills in his dojo within the hotel, he was also good enough to answer questions about his training and family history.

Big rambling ryokan up the hill from the end of the main street in Narrai an easy walk from the station, although the friendly owner Joe will gladly pick you up. He speaks great English after years running a dive boat in Cairns! Spotless cleanliness and very good food. Only a few guests when I was there but Joe likes it that way. He insisted on taking my luggage to meet me at Yaruhaba station after I walked the Torii pass. A superb host (and swordsman)!
I only stayed one night but should’ve booked two! There is a fleet of new mountain bikes and electrics in the foyer and I would’ve loved to take one exploring. Next time…

האירוח היה מזמין וביתי מאוד, ארוחת הערב והבוקר היו מעולות! ממש כמו לאכול במסעדה טובה. הנוף מדהים. הצוות עזר לנו בכל מה שהיינו צריכים. החדר, השירותים והמקלחת היו נקיים מאוד!
מעט מרוחק מהתחנה - כחצי שעה של הליכה, אבל שווה את זה כי הוא ממוקם ביער במקום יפה מאוד.
השירותים משותפים אבל נקיים מאוד ויש המון תאים.
חוץ מזה הכול היה באמת מושלם.

Hotellet ligger med en smuk udsigt over bjergene i gå afstand til selve byen. Værelserne er rigtig hyggelige i japansk stil og maden er rigtig god.. Fællesbadet er ok.
Selve hotellet kunne godt trænge til en kærlig hånd da det så ville fremstå rigtig flot. Også rengøring generelt kunne være bedre.
