The location was great. Easy walking distance to major sights and good restaurants while still being quiet at night. The staff were friendly & helpful. Room was comfortable and clean.

The hotel is quite new and it has a very good location for visiting the main attractions of Istanbul.

When we first entered the room (203) the temperature inside was 31 degrees. We lowered the temperature from the thermostat both for the floor heating and for the ceiling one and opened the windows wide (outside were like 6 degrees). After 30 minutes we went for dinner. When we came back it was again 31 degrees. We then called the reception and told them about the problem. The receptionist came, turned off the ceiling fan and pushed a few buttons on the floor heating thermostat and told us to be patient, as the temperature will slowly decrease. It did not. We couldn’t manage to sleep at all, with the windows closed it was 31 degrees, with them opened we managed to get to 27, but it was loud outside. The second day we told them again that the room is very hot and we can’t get the floor heating to stop. Again they told us a bunch of lies, that they fixed it through the central system and now it will be fine. It wasn’t. We called again at 4 am in the night, telling them again about the problem, again they told us some lies. Only on the third night, after we refused to accept the same old explanations that were obviously not true, they admited that the heating was faulty in the room and they gave us another one. Also, the tv in room 203 doesn’t have any tv channels (we also asked about this on the first day, and they kept saying “but youtube works, right?”), surprisingly the tv worked just fine in the second room. Also, the water in room 203 smelled really bad of petrol or something similar, and it smelled ok in the second room. I really don’t know why the room they gave us was so faulty, but I think they should treat their customers better. Especially since our requests were very basic, we just wanted to sleep in a room with normal temperature.
