The location was well-located with easy access to stores and restaurants. The room was quiet, and the host was responsive and gracious. The autolock on the entry door worked smoothly. It is a house with history, quirks, and rustic charm, with a lovely porch and a full kitchen available to guests. We were surprised when the host offered us a light breakfast one morning. Very nice.
More written explanations of how the house can be used would be helpful. ie. guest manual with numbers to call, emergency procedures etc. Make sure to provide essential bathroom personal accessories such as blow dryers, bath gel, and lotion. A less assertive guest might not ask for a blow dryer, a more aggressive guest might be annoyed. Is it ok to use the kitchen? The downstairs bath? More conventional door locks would eliminate the fussiness of a skeleton key (although it is charming). Less surface decor in rooms would leave more space for guests to place their own personal items.

House and property were great- but booking site said the Cooperhouse was a B and B … it was not !
check in was a bit stressful - when I made the reservation, I was asked when we would be checking in, I clicked btwn 3 and 4 pm and assumed someone would be there or I would have email instructions sent before arrival … neither. Phoned the number on reservation and got an AI bot telling me that someone would get back to me within 24 hours !
