About this cabin rental

Experience the tranquility of our newly built A-Frame cabin in St. Johnsbury, VT crafted with love for nature and design. From a harvested woodland habitat, we've rebuilt and replanted native eastern white pines, carefully constructing the cabin to preserve the land's natural charm. We're dedicated to promoting local handmade products, supporting Vermonters and bringing jobs to the community, while creating a serene escape amidst nature. The cabin is located between NH White and VT Green Mts.

Newly built cabin around 710 square feet and a 240 sq feet patio outside. The cabin is about 5 mins drive to the St. Johnsbury downtown (food, shops, bakeries coffee shops, and wine distillery) 3 minutes drive to the town forest and Moose River (hiking and fishing) As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly cut wood from this brand new construction. The smell of new wood is simply unbeatable.

The cabin has a maximum capacity of 6, but we prefer to limit bookings to 4 people. Additional guest beyond 4 are $50 each, and pets incur a $40 fee per pet. (maximum of 2 pets) For groups larger than four we offer two twin air mattresses, please contact the owner for access.

IMPORTANT : Please be aware that the driveway, while appearing relatively flat from a distance, has a significant incline due to the mountainous terrain of Vermont. The cabin is situated atop a hill, requiring careful navigation of the steep driveway. 4WD may be necessary during winter months.

Chris and Jay's place is the perfect little brand-new A-frame! We enjoyed the private setting, tucked away in a forest clearing atop a hill not far at all from town. The design is thoughtful, featuring art and artifacts done by local craftsmen. We were a family group of three adults, and had everything we needed to rest and feel comfortable. The deck is spacious and was the perfect spot to enjoy the extended daylight hours. We very much appreciated the communication from the hosts, as we were excited about our stay and the property and got a bit chatty! We highly recommend the place to anyone looking for a place to stay in St. J!

A splendid space, perfect for a visit no matter what the weather. It was cozy when it rained heavy and peaceful and comfortable on a clear, sunny day and evening. There was a wide variety of kitchen implements and excellent, detailed guidance from Jay and Chris regarding the cabin’s systems. The cabin was well supplied for sitting by the fire pit out front and the porch was a perfect outdoor space for breakfast. There is very well stocked grocery store called “32” (or something like that), less than a mile away if you need something and all the interesting places in St Johnsbury are so close, The Fairbanks museum, the art collection at the Antheneum and several cool restaurants for a lunch or dinner out.Our family has traditionally done a trip to the region every two years. The A-Frame is making us consider more frequent trips if we are lucky enough to get a spot.
